Description
Your journey begins along the scenic coastline, passing through Sharjah before reaching the famous Friday Market in Fujairah. Nestled within the majestic Hajar Mountains, this open-air souk captures the authentic charm of a traditional Bedouin market. Browse stalls filled with fresh fruits, spices, carpets, pottery, toys and handmade souvenirs – a paradise for explorers and photographers alike.
The tour continues to the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Fujairah, the second largest mosque in the UAE. Admire its 65 domes, six minarets rising up to 100 meters, shimmering marble courtyards and peaceful gardens with fountains. A true highlight awaits inside: a gigantic 18-meter-high, 7-ton chandelier – an outstanding masterpiece of Islamic craftsmanship.
Just a few minutes away stands the historic Fujairah Fort, one of the oldest castles in the Emirates. Once used as a defensive stronghold and prison, it now offers fascinating insights into the region’s past – along with breathtaking views over the city and coastline.
The journey continues through the dramatic Hajar mountain range to the coastal town of Khor Fakkan. On the central square, two epic photo spots await: a monumental amphitheatre inspired by Roman and Islamic architecture, and a 45-meter-high artificial waterfall – the perfect backdrop for unforgettable social media shots!
